The interest in electronic medical records (EMR or EHR) software has absolutely skyrocketed in recent months. Since the Obama administration launched their new initiatives to spread adoption of EMR/EHR technology by 2013, we’ve seen interest in our Ingenix CareTracker EMR solution increase dramatically. This incentives are real and available to those who qualify. As outlined in the M-HITECH Act, part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act signed by President Obama, a health care practice using a qualified EMR such as the Ingenix CareTracker EMR will be entitled to bonuses of as much as $44,000 to $65,000.
The total incentives per physician under Medicare for “meaningful use” of an Electronic Health Record (EHR) start in 2011. Many details of this program have not been released, but should be avaialble and released throughout the year.
Ingenix CareTracker EMR is a CCHIT certified EMR solution, which is a gold standard for electronic medical record (EMR) functionality, interoperability and usability and is a requirement to qualify for this type of funding from the federal government.
